How to Access our Services

Once you get here, how do you get started?

If you are a first time user of our services you'll be asked to make an appointment with a counsellor.

The counsellor is here to:

  • answer questions about services;
  • assist clients in finding solutions (i.e. house, paying bills);
  • make referrals to services you need within the Western Ottawa CRC or in the community;
  • provide short-term counselling;
  • provide crisis intervention for individuals and families;
  • and most importantly to provide a supportive ear.

Counsellors are available Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (September to May), 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (June to August)

We recommend calling 613-591-3686 to speak to, or make an appointment to see a counsellor.

Counsellors are also available for walk-in clients, however it is preferable to call ahead if possible.

Will you have to pay for our services?

If you are seeing a counsellor from the Western Ottawa CRC, there is no charge. Some of our programs and services have a minimal fee. The counsellor will outline the costs during your initial meeting.

Some of the counsellors who have offices here are not employed by the Western Ottawa CRC and may charge you for counselling. They will let you know at the initial meeting.
